The MaxVaping staff samples and reviews every e-juice we receive before adding them to our online vape shop. Typically, we have vape juice brands send us 3mg samples of each flavor they would like us to add. We all give them an honest try; then we add only the very best vape juice we find. The e-liquid needs to be a "game changer" for us to add it. A large percentage of the vape juice we receive to sample is mediocre at best. Most winds up in the trash bin. We don’t have the space to carry ejuice brands that are not exceptional.
Sometimes customers ask us to add an e-liquid brand, which causes us to give the juice another try. Also, some vape juice companies change the recipe for their e-juice. Often, this is an improvement, so we wind up reconsidering their juice line. There are also some lines that are adding nicotine salts versions of their juices, which we also consider.
Note that taste is obviously subjective, so a vape juice we love may not be your cloud of vape. You can be confident that the quality of e-juice we carry will be high. Your best bet is to search for flavors you love (i.e., type "cherry" in the search box top-left), then check the results and customer reviews. Back when we first started selling vape juice in 2013, we discovered fine, affordable e-juice from a company called Blue Dot. They sent us samples and we were blown away by the dense flavor and high quality. The vape juice came in 50ml squeeze bottles, long before unicorn squeeze bottles became so popular.
We ordered the entire line and filled our shelves. Our vape customers soaked up the fine vape juice two and three at a time. The most popular flavors have been Milk of the Poppy (this is the original) and Moo Fields.
A few years ago, Blue Dot transformed their line to be called Left Coast Liquid. They added a bunch more flavors, including one we highly recommended (Samoan Clouds, made to resemble the popular Girl Scout cookie). They also transitioned from a 50ml bottle to a 60ml squeeze bottle. Whereas the 50ml sold for $10.99, the 60ml is similarly cheap at only $12.99. At that price, you'll be hard-pressed to find such high-quality vape juice.
This year, Left Coast also released nic salts versions of their entire line, and we immediately stocked our shelves with them. The nic salts versions come in 12mg and 24mg nic concentrations and are designed to be used in refillable pod systems. We strongly caution you to ONLY use these nicotine salts versions in pod systems as the concentration is too high for traditional tanks and drippers.

The new ultra-compact and convenient vaping pod systems continue to be released at break-neck speed. There are many options now available whether you're looking for a small device to carry or making the initial switch from cigarettes. Aside from the small footprint, these devices mostly feature no power on, off, or adjustment buttons -- you inhale, and it fires. This usually works through a magnetic switch trigger by the airflow.
Pod systems come in two main variations: one with closed pods and one with refillable pods. Some closed pods can be refilled. (Look for videos on how to refill a Bo Pod.) The problem with refilling a closed pod could be leakage or the degradation of the coil since it is not designed for long-term use.
Most people prefer the refillable pods because they desire a variety of flavors and the flexibility of changing out quickly instead of being stuck with a closed pod flavor they do not enjoy. Make sure; if you want a refillable pod system, you only fill those pods with vape juices that have nicotine salts. The salts versions are specifically designed for pods. Also, do not use pod juice in tanks and RBAs as it will be way too harsh due to the high nicotine concentrations.

As we head into Fall of 2018, the number of new vape juice releases have been centered around pod vape juice with nic salts. Many vape brands are releasing nicotine salts versions of their most popular e-liquid flavors. Naturally, those nic salts juices are only to be used in refillable pod systems (can't use it on a JUUL). You certainly should never use nic salts vape juice in drip systems as their nicotine concentration is very high.

Think of this as a similar question to, "Should I drink decaffeinated coffee?" Nicotine is a stimulant that is very similar to caffeine. Of all the numerous damaging aspects of cigarette smoking, nicotine probably doesn't rank in the top five. Still, like caffeine, nicotine is a bit addictive, so if you've been smoking for years or have been using high nicotine level vape juice, you may feel some side-effects when quitting cold turkey. Most people complain of a mild headache, similar to how you feel without that morning cup of joe you're used to.
Still, less nicotine is undoubtedly better than more, and none would be the healthiest option. One wise strategy is to gradually reduce your nicotine by switching from cigarettes to pod systems (usually 12mg to 50mg nic salts levels) to traditional vape systems (1.5mg to 24mg nicotine) to non-nicotine vape juice.
The amount of nicotine you intake is based on how many times you inhale your vape juice along with what nic level concentration you are using. People who vape all day even at the 3mg nic levels can take in more nicotine than someone who occasionally uses a vape pod system like the JUUL a few times throughout the day to take the edge off.
One thing to be aware of is BIG TOBACCO. They're huge with wealthy shareholders. We all know the dangers of smoking, but big tobacco needs you to be smoking their cigarettes to keep their shareholders happy. The increasing popularity of vaping has them scrambling. They put significant political pressure on the FDA to impose damning regulations. They also pressure local and state politicians to find ways to limit vaping the way cigarettes were restricted, mostly around places you can legally vape. Always be aware that BIG TOBACCO needs you to switch back from vaping to smoking. They are concerned only about their owners, NOT your health.

Although the FDA and big tobacco are hell-bent on burying the vape industry, we're not going anywhere. In fact, to make us even more competitive with other online vape shops, we installed software to constantly monitor all vape retail competitors. Many vape shops are clearing out old stock because of the FDA regulations that are going into effect concerning labeling. The FDA requires the nicotine warning on all vape juice. They also have specific requirements around the size of the warning, placement, and design including which colors are permissible. Vape juice manufacturers are required to use the new labeling in August 2018, and retailers must follow suit in September. It's a pain in the ass, to say the least, but we'll be adding warning stickers to all vape juice stock that is missing the label. Many of our competitors are blowing out all inventory without the labels, that's why the prices have dropped so much.
This all means that August and September are great months to load up on vape juice. Once all of the FDA regulations go into effect, prices will most likely creep back upward. Still, our price matching software will keep an eye on our main competitors and make sure we deliver a superior experience.

Vape juice doesn't spoil as food does. It will, however, change over time. In the near term, by exposing vape juice to air, it will steep and help the flavors enhance. If the e-liquid has nicotine, it will also change in color. The more nic it has, the darker the vape juice will become (more orange and brown). Again, this is not an indication of spoilage. People new to vaping often look to save money by learning how to make their own vape juice. It is not very difficult. There are basically four ingredients to vape juice, and they are all readily available in many places online.
The trick to making your own e-liquid is finding the best ingredients, deciding which ratios work best for you and your mod and tank set up, then having the right equipment for measuring, mixing, and steeping. Naturally, you want to be safe and keep all the ingredients clean from contamination. Also, be very careful when handling liquid nicotine as it is potentially toxic in high concentrations, even to the touch. Always wear gloves when handling nicotine.
The other danger, aside from toxicity, is improper measurement. Make sure you have the right concentration of nicotine based on many online formulas. Usually, people want anything from 0mg nic all the way up to 24mg (very high level, not advised for dripping). Those concentrations are milligrams of nicotine per milliliter of liquid. Sometimes you'll see these represented as 0.3% instead of 3mg for example.
Not all vape juice requires steeping, but some steeping will certainly enhance the flavor. It all depends on the ingredients. Some people steep by storing the vape juice in wooden barrel containers. Others shake and expose it to air and light. Again, this is subjective. You can experiment and find your best way to make vape juice.
Most important as far as vape juice flavor goes is the quality of your flavoring. If you skimp on flavoring costs, you'll probably wind up unhappy. Buy the highest quality you can find, then experiment with different combinations and strengths. You can find many vape juice recipes online. Search and try.
