The short answer is, "It depends, and it is getting cheaper." As with any other consumable, the higher quality e-liquids cost more. Plus, larger bottles of vape juice cost less per ml than the small ones.

The typical cost of vape liquid in 2019:

• 30ml: $7-$15
• 60ml: $10-$18
• 100ml: $11-$20
• 120ml: $15-$25
• Pods: $10-18

So, what makes a vape juice higher quality? It's usually a combination of the quality of the ingredients and how or if it was steeped. The ingredients in vape juice include VG, PG, nicotine, and flavoring. There are different quality levels of flavoring. Some flavors taste more like chemicals and others taste more like the natural flavor intended. You'll typically find that the more expensive vape juice is simply using higher quality ingredients, so it should taste better, produce better vapor clouds, come in fine packaging, and last longer.

There are some high-end e-liquids that use exotic methods of aging and steeping.  Like wine and whiskey, you can find vape juice that is aged in wood barrels (check out Phillip Rocke). Other means of steeping include exposure to air and stirring or shaking. Most vape juice is adequately pre-steeped but others improve if you steep them for additional time.

If you're in the market for juice for your pod system, you're looking for nic salts e-liquid. The pre-filled replacement pods typically cost anywhere from $10-$18 for a pack of four 0.7ml to 1ml size pods. If you have a refillable pod system, you can find 30ml and 60ml bottles of nic salts vape juice for about the same price or a little more than typical nicotine juice. The nic salts juice usually comes in smaller bottles.

One good way to save on vape juice costs is by shopping sales, clearance sales, and daily deals. You can typically save anywhere from 10% to 50% off the regular vape juice prices.
